bright smile, dark eyes bright smile, dark eyes everywhere i went, i was always looking for you. bright smile, dark eyes.
i'm looking for some peace, it's so hard to find. calamity janes and the steamboat casanovas. ------------------------- I'm so glad to be home. I like traveling, but the 312 is where my heart is right now. So we can agree- Chicago in the summer and fall, Miami in the winter and spring? With all the necessary greenhouses, tulips, chocolate labradors, pools/sweating, and parks in between. -------------------------- just pin your heartbeat against my heartbeat and you'll see how well we rhyme.
I am never really one to be "doing hair" and my hair is usually just straight, but since I returned from Miami, I've really liked the idea of a blown-out beach hair. My hair is naturally a little wavy, but tends to straighten itself out pretty easily as well. Since I absolutely do not care enough to do hair and definitely don't have the tools/skill set for it, this is what I do: One French braid down the middle of my head, being careful not to braid the end too tightly (this creates a weird-looking effect). This never manages to look like this the entire day, but I like the effect while it lasts. I'm bringing back the natural, almost-wild hair this summer :)
I wish I could describe how amazing these coffee beans smell. Despite my fear of not being able to use all the beans before they lose their freshness, I picked up a bag from my favorite coffeeshop in an effort to save money and make coffee at home. Here's the thing: I don't have a traditional coffeemaker. My very kind aunt and cousin, understanding my coffee obsession, gifted me with a gorgeous Italian coffee maker. I love it, but also fear it. In the way that you sometimes fear things you love. No? Just me? The reason I fear it is that the last time I used it, I had a stomachache for like three days (only slightly exaggerated). Strongest. Coffee. Ever. It is delicious. I made an effort to neutralize the coffee with some milk. I drink my coffee black. Always. But drank milk in a teacup so as to not interfere with the flavor.
